This is a scholarship open to anyone aged 18-20 majoring in Philosophy at a top US university. If you are accepted for the scholarship, your tuition will be fully paid by our institution. Additionally, you can apply for accommodation and a living allowance, but these will be distributed based on financial need.
During the summer, you will be offered a position as a summer intern. As part of this internship, you will develop the previous year's work into a complete article that will be published in the Rawls Journal. This task is expected to require 20 hours per week for a duration of 6 weeks, and you will have the flexibility to choose your own working hours. Throughout this period, you will be paid $16 per hour. Upon completion of the internship, your article will be published in the Rawls Journal. By the end of your Undergraduate Program At Rawls Institute, you will have published 2 or 3 papers in the Rawls Journal. This achievement would be remarkable, even after an entire academic career, and it will greatly enhance your prospects for further study.

· A personal statement describing your journey with Philosophy.
· A 1000 word essay on a philosophy topic of your choice.
· What course you are applying to.
· A breakdown of the modules you wish to take and how they relate to EA.
You will then be invited for two interviews.
Interview 1:
This interview will be conducted online or, if possible, in a local café. It will last around half an hour
In this interview we will give general guidance on the application process. We will also talk about your background and journey to Philosophy.
Interview 2:
This interview will be online and will last around 1 hour. In the first half we will discuss your essay and challenge it's main idea, this is to see how flexible you can be in thinking. In the second half of the interview we will discuss you and your philosophical interests.
